In the world of high-end visual effects (VFX), there is no such thing as “good enough.” You are either frame-perfect, or you are cut.
Before founding Synergetic Media, our owner, Virginia “Ginger” Bowman, spent years as a Technical Director at Sony Pictures Imageworks. She didn’t just work on movies; she solved the impossible technical problems required to put them on screen. Leading a team to bring fully articulated feathers to the big screen for the first time in Stuart Little 2, leading the look development team for creatures on Matrix Reloaded, providing instruction to other technical directors on Oscar-winning Spiderman movies. There she learned the importance of excellence in tight deadlines, high stakes-visuals, and how together we can do what we cannot achieve alone. She learned how to use technical tools to craft stunning images – images that HAD to tell a story. Compellingly. Immediately.
That is the DNA of Synergetic Media. That ethos, is the heart of Synergetic Media.
We don’t look at marketing as just “making things pretty.” We approach your business with the discipline of a seasoned Technical Director: Pretty has to serve a purpose, or it’s just empty fluff.. Delivery has to be on time and with the quality desired, or it isn’t a success.

The "Service" Mindset
After leaving Sony, Ginger transitioned to the classroom as a Professor at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design).
While mentoring the next generation of digital artists, she noticed a troubling disconnect in the business world outside the university walls. Companies were struggling to keep up with rapid technological shifts. They were often forced to choose between “creative agencies” that made pretty things that didn’t work, or “tech shops” that built functional things that had no soul. There was a missing link.
Businesses didn’t just need vendors; they needed translators. They needed someone who could connect them with their audience in an authentic way, then use the tools to track and analyze the data. They needed strategy, and heart, and technical expertise, all rolled into one.
Synergetic Media was founded to close that gap. We brought the rigor of the studio and the clarity of the classroom to the local market.
